We decided to take a return trip last week to Hot Springs, AR to celebrate our anniversary, a special occasion that deserved a memorable getaway. We stayed in a beautiful and renovated lakeside cottage that had a two-level deck leading down to Lake Hamilton, where we could soak in the peaceful views each morning as the sun rose over the water. While enjoying our stay, we visited a couple of our favorite spots in Hot Springs, including Superior Bathhouse Brewery, known for its craft beers brewed on-site and a vibrant atmosphere that felt welcoming and lively. We also made sure to stop by The Humidor Cigar Lounge while strolling through the city, where we savored the rich flavors of fine cigars and shared stories with fellow enthusiasts. The charm and character of Hot Springs never ceased to impress us, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and our visit back to this iconic town, reminiscing about our shared memories while creating new ones that we would cherish for years to come.

Summer Travels

It’s been quite the summer and road trip since we set out from the PNW. Here’s a collection of custom digital postcards I created, in no particular order, of each state we passed through until reaching Texas. In total, it was a 2,650-mile road trip with stops in both New Mexico and Oklahoma to visit family before settling in the Lone Star State.

Exploring Austin
Photos taken in Aug-2025 while exploring Austin, TX. A remarkable city with friendly people, amazing food, and endless photo opprotunities. The only caveat—road construction—a lot of road construction.
I captured the photo of the city skyline right before an afternoon thunderstorm moved in which, I thought, gave the skyline an interesting tone. The photo of Malin the troll was created by Danish artist Thomas Dambo. We also visited one of his additional works, also a troll, named Ole Bolle, in Portland, OR. Finally, while shopping near South Congress, we enjoyed brunch at the Dish Society, which is dog-friendly, where I found some of the best Chicken and Biscuits I have ever eaten (I highly recommend the spicy version).

Superstition Mountain in Arizona

Having lived in Arizona for many years I found the landscapes to be immensely beautiful. This photo from 2018 was captured in one of our excursions to the Lost Dutchman State Park. While Arizona offers a vast array of different types of terrain, I believe this photo really captures the essence of what most non-residents believe the entire State looks like.

Bison in New Mexico

Captured this photo while travelling through New Mexico in June 2025. It is perhaps one of my favorite photos I have taken in any of our travels. This scene makes my heart happy.
